Proper Partner Training on Speediance (Account Handling & Exercise Logic)
I regularly train together with my girlfriend on our Speediance device, both in Free Mode and within custom-created training plans. In exactly these two areas, we are currently facing fundamental limitations that make partner training unnecessarily restrictive. One major issue is that two full user accounts cannot be used on the same device at the same time. The system only allows one active account plus a guest. As a result, training data, progress, weights, and history are only saved for one person, while the second user cannot build a proper training history. For a data-driven training system, this is a serious limitation—especially when the device is used regularly by two people. In addition, there is a critical problem with the exercise logic that affects both Free Mode and custom training plans. Many fundamental compound exercises on Speediance require both cable pulleys at the same time, such as squats, barbell bench press, deadlifts, or rows. These exercises are the foundation of structured strength training. Currently, it is not possible to perform these exercises alternately with a training partner once both pulleys are in use. A proper user switch between sets is not supported—neither in Free Mode nor within custom-created training plans. In practice, this means that essential exercises cannot be trained together, or training plans must be modified and compromised. The result is an unnatural training flow that does not reflect how partner training works in real life. Instead of a smooth alternation between sets, users are forced into interruptions and workarounds that undermine the purpose of a shared home gym. What is urgently needed from a user perspective is a clear and practical solution: Two users stored on the device must be able to alternate the same exercise, with individual weights, separate training data, and a seamless switch after each set. This logic must work consistently in Free Mode as well as in custom training plans. For users who train together as a couple, this is not a convenience feature—it is a basic requirement to use Speediance to its full potential. Implementing this would significantly improve real-world usability and better reflect how people actually train together at home. ⸻ Summary – Requested Features: • Simultaneous use of two full user accounts on one device → Essential for correctly saving progress, weights, and training history for both users. • Partner switching during exercises that require both pulleys → Required to perform core compound exercises realistically in partner training. • Seamless user switch after each set → Ensures a natural and uninterrupted training flow. • Full support in Free Mode and custom training plans → This is where real, individual partner training actually takes place. These are not optional enhancements, but core requirements for using Speediance as a shared training device. Tommy
